Is there a point in continuing to test the traditional SPAMCOP_NET RBL? Is this now redundant? Does setting the score for RCVD_IN_BL_SPAMCOP_NET to 0 prevent the DNS lookup? or simply invalidate the info received. (my goal is to speed up spamd)
They're completely different. SURBL checks URLs embedded in the message. SPAMCOP_NET checks the IP addresses of computers that sent you the message.
And assigning any rule a score of 0 disables it completely, so yes, it will prevent the DNS lookup.
