*This message was transferred with a trial version of CommuniGate(tm) Pro* How do you run spamassassin on a text file? I downloaded the .txt file containing the message but after looking at the spamassassin documentation and at the built in help it's not clear what I'm doing wrong. Should #spamassassin norules.txt work?
Better:
spamassassin -t < norules.txt
That'll *always* output the report (whether the message is detected as spam or not) so you get the test names, scores, and extended descriptions.
spamassassin -D -t < norules.txt
Also includes debug output. Very useful if you get strange results from the regular output that you can't explain. And, when asking for help on the users list, it's often a good idea to include the relevant parts of the debug output if you haven't already answered your own question by then. :-)
Cheers, - Ryan
