Odd. The server response in the error message looks remarkably like a SMTP
server response (starts with "220" rather than "+OK" which POP has). If I
connect to pop-server.san.rr.com:110 I get:
"+OK Messaging Multiplexor (iPlanet Messaging Server 5.2 HotFix 2.04 (built
Feb8 2005))"
Could you send me a copy of your most recent log file? It's in the Windows
temp directory, with WinXP this is probably 'C:\Documents and
Settings\{username}\Local Settings\Temp' and it'll be called
SpambayesServer1.log.

Please always include the list (spambayes at python.org) in your replies
(reply-all), and please don't send me personal mail about SpamBayes.
http://www.massey.ac.nz/~tameyer/writing/reply_all.html explains this.
