Irena,

Is it possible that SpamBayes is munching on an especially large email or a
lot of emails which arrived in a burst?  I don't know how Outlook doles out
time to SpamBayes, but it's possible that if it's handed off control it
won't get it back until SpamBayes is finished munching.
