I guess people here have noticed that the techniques of spammers are
changing. This calls to mind something from Hitchhiker's Guide to the
Galaxy where half the engineers were hard at work jamming the electronic
thumb and the other half were at work jamming the jamming.

More and more information is going to be written by machine and more and
more of it is going to be read by machines. I have an inkling of what this
means, ultimately, for society in general.

What does it mean for spam though? I foresee serious endevors to filter it
out and find its source. I have a toy now, that attempts to determine if
an arbitrary email is spam or not. I can use it, like any filter, to
file spam into a spam catch email folder that I can deal with later. I
have trained it a bit, though it probably is tuned to my idea of what spam
is. It is at http://irresponsiblecybernetics.com/amispamornot.php
