I've been getting these from a list member when I post.  Not that whitelisting is a bad thing, but it's not a total solution and can easily alienate and/or annoy some people you want to communicate with.  
 
I recently had to dump a bunch of blacklist rules myself because of too much legit mail being tagged as spam.
 
The problem isn't whitelisting, blacklisting or any other issue.  The problem is related to human behavior, and needs to be tackled at the human level by creating good deterrents.   Technical solutions treat the symptoms, but the disease still lives on.
