In previous e-mails to this list I have spoken of my attempts to silence a porno spammer known as t*tbusters.com (name censored). They use a major Canadian ISP, sympatico.ca, as a part of their spamming. Three emails to sympatico went unanswered, until I finally used the magic words, legal action. Sympatico then claimed that the complaint was in Bell Canada's hands (I thought they were the same company). After 3 weeks of no actions since this response, I complained to Michael Jenkin, Director General of the Office of Consumer Affairs in Ottawa.
I received this unbelievable response: While I understand your concerns, I am unaware of any anti-spam laws currently in place in Canada. Can this be true? Is the great white north a haven for spammers? Does any know of anyone I can complain to. I cannot seem to find a Canadian equivalent of an Attorney General for the province of Ontario, where the domain is registered Cheers Tony Pavick _______________________________________________ spamcon-general mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.spamcon.org/mailman/listinfo/spamcon-general#subscribers Subscribe, unsubscribe, etc: Use the URL above or send "help" in body of message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Contact administrator: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
