I have been getting these too. I think that this is just another slimy
tactic being used to deliver spam. Send it out as a fake bounce message
hoping that you will read the rubbish.

I guess they (the spammers) figure that since we, the abused, use fake
bounces to try to trick them, they will use the same thing.

On a similar topic, 'lolita' porn sites have been using a tactic like this
in which the recipient is also shown as the sender and in the return
header.

Which brings up the question of why this fraudulent activity does not fall
under existing laws. For example, if I sent out snail-mail advertising for
hamburgers claiming that it came from MacDonalds (not McDonalds) would
that not be deceptive advertising. Like wise if I sent out a typical spam
email as a snail-mail, and gave a bogus return address on the envelope,
even though the snail mail contained a real 800 number, would this not be
fraud? So why doesn't this type of spoffing apply to emails?
