A lot of the spam messages I've gotten lately have had a number at the
end of the subject line, like this one: "We are the geeks that can get
you to the top of the search engines. 16133". Is this a serial number so
the spammer can identify a complainer from the complaint? If so, I
wonder how it's used? Might a spammer take you off his list if you're
known to be a spam reporter? Or on the other hand maybe put you on the
"known good email address" list? Somehow I think it might be a good idea
to delete this number when sending a spam report. Anyone know the real
story?
