I checked out the papers Paetec entered in court and posted on their
website. From their account of matters it appears that MonsterHut got an
account with them and within a few days they were getting lots of
complaints about unsolicited mailings.

I have tried to check out whether I heedlessly left a "please send me"
box checked somewhere when I visited some site, because I don't want to
blame MonsterHut unfairly, but I couldn't find any such possibilities.
So I will be sending in my sworn account tomorrow.

There is a notary public at my bank, and the service is free. Paetec
provides a "fill in the blank" affidavit to which I have added an
account of how I tried to find a plausible explanation for MonsterHut
having my address.
