Thanks for the hint. Fail2ban looks quite nice but is a very sharp edge. For nobody will get an answer if his mail is blocked. I will have a close look at it, for it would be nice if half of the spam is blocked even before it reaches the mail queue. That would definitely take some load of the server. But I am not sure if it is "the" solution for my problem.
