I don't think this form of wildcard is valid, at least I don't see it in the documentation. The only wildcard capability I see in the the documentation is for all addresses at a domain, such as @mydomain.com I would expect what you have to match nothing, but perhaps it's matching everything instead. Try using the full email address here.
