I am currently not on a computer (and a phone is a horrid ssh client) but I am sure you can find the right config check syntax in the spamdyke documentation. I am sure I saw it in the installation doc at the end.
As for the quail run file post the content of /var/qmail/supervise/smtp/run Or similar.
