FWIW, spamdyke builds just fine for me on FreeBSD 12.1 using pkgsrc with PKG_OPTIONS "tls". You can probably get the same result by borrowing these patches:

I've not used spamdyke for quite some time (ever since I wrote https://schmonz.com/qmail/rejectutils and https://schmonz.com/qmail/acceptutils) but I try to keep it building on all platforms supported by pkgsrc.
