Yes, I'm looking for a way to sync the contacts of both my wife and myself with our iPhone/iPod Touch and respective Macs, and we each have groups of contacts on the Mac side. I've just finished my free trial of Mobile Me, which does all that we need but costs four times as much as Spanning Sync and includes other things we don't need or want.
To BenW: the iTouch will not be in my wife's hands till Christmas Day but I can verify that Mobile Me automatically syncs contacts and retains all the group information among two Macs and one iPhone (all on the same account). As soon as I cancelled the trial, I could sync only one Mac to my iPhone via the USB lead - both iCal and Address Book on the other Mac remain as they were on the day I cancelled. Looks like you are not going to get me as a customer for a year at least as I think I'm going to be forced to renew Mobile Me and the lack of group contact sync is a deal breaker. Just thought I would add to your minimal demand for group sync!
