Ok, just deleted 5 contacts out of Address Book and got a message on my Mac warning me that Spanning Sync was about to delete 5 contacts from Gmail. Nice!
Now to see how Google Sync handles that with my phone. I'm hoping that it won't put those contacts back because they are on my phone, resulting in them being back in my Address Book. After I resolve that, I'll test the same sync functionality if I am to delete a contact from my Phone first.
