Unfortunately this is how Google has chosen to display contacts in
their Gmail and Google Contacts applications. But it won't affect how
they're shown on your phone or in other apps (unless they also sort
names first-name-first). The sorting is purely a function of the app
showing the names, not of the contact names themselves.
