Hi Stephen,

Spanning Sync won't delete everything on Google unless you perform a
"Replace Data on Google". A standard Spanning Sync sync will only
merge the data between iCal and your Google Calendar account.

For your setup, for the initial sync, I'd use the Windows PC as the
master. You'll need to make sure that the PC has all the event data
present and correct. When you're satisfied that all the event data is
there, I'd delete the Google calendar that you use to sync with the PC
calendar, then create a new empty one. At this point, sync the PC to
Google. Once that is complete, I'd suggest deleting the iCal calendar
that your currently using to sync with this account, then create a new
empty one, and sync the Mac to Google using Spanning Sync. After the
sync is complete, you should have all your calendar data in all three
places. Subsequent syncs will only pickup updates, additions and/or
deletions.

Thanks,

Byron
