Hi, Spanning Sync creates a backup of your calendar and contact data whenever you install or update Spanning Sync. You can access the backup data for your Address Book this way:
*Make sure you quit Address Book if it's open *Your Address Book backup files are located here: Hard Drive-> Users-> Home User (house icon)-> Library-> Application Support-> Spanning Sync (this is the folder the backups are located) *Find your latest "AdressBook-backup" file and double click it to unzip it. You'll be left with an "AddressBook" folder. *Use the "AddressBook" folder from the backup to replace this folder: Hard Drive-> Users-> Home User (house icon)-> Library-> Application Support-> AddressBook (this is the folder to replace) *Now you can open Address Book again and should have all your contact data present Thanks, Byron On Aug 27, 10:43 pm, Pictor <[email protected]> wrote: > Ah....right you are. > > I can appreciate the reason, but I would call it a bug that it simply > deleted a significant number of my contacts from my Mac address book. > > I have recovered some that I know were missing by moving them to My > Contacts in gmail, but I am left in a position of not being sure who > else might be missing. > > On Aug 27, 3:03 pm, Charlie Wood <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > Are they in any groups in Google other than "All Contacts"?
