Hi

I recently purchased a license for Spanning Sync 3 to use with my
Google account [email protected]

I have a Calendar called ‘Local’ under my Calendar group in iCal. This
is the local calendar on my Mac. On iCal I also have a calendar called
‘Calendar’ under my Exchange account [email protected].

Under the calendar settings of Spanning Sync I can see both calendars.
I select ‘Calendar’ as I want to use the calendar on the Exchange
server as my main calendar so that I can see the entries on my iPhone
which syncs to the same Exchange account.

When I start the sync on Spanning Sync a new calendar called
‘Calendar’ is created under the local Calendar group with the entries
from Google copied to it, instead of the entries from Google being
synced to the calendar under the Exchange group. After the sync the
calendar list in Spanning Sync lists two entries named ‘Calendar’.

I think your Spanning Sync does not know that since Snow Leopard
calendars can also be under Exchange groups. It assumes (I think) of
the Entourage-iCal sync method being used where the Exchange calendar
was synched to a local iCal calendar. As it stands you cannot use
Spanning Sync with Snow Leopard and Exchange to sync calendars.

When do you think an update to make Spanning Sync ‘really’ compatible
with Snow Leopard will be released?

Thank you

Riz
