Hi,

Apple's new MobileMe calendar system (currently in beta) is indeed
CalDAV-based. Since Apple Sync Services only allows read-only
"syncing" of CalDAV calendars, this change effectively makes MobileMe
calendars untouchable to every other sync client.

Last year Brian Criscuolo from Mark/Space filed a bug with Apple about
CalDAV calendars being read-only. From Apple's response in the
developer forum, I believe they do consider this a bug but just
haven't gotten around to fixing it. According to Brian, the bug # is
4707114.

Quoting Apple: "You can tell us what you think by clicking the
Feedback link at the bottom of the Calendar sidebar at me.com."

Since Apple wants your feedback, if you're using the new MobileMe
calendars then please ask them to fix this problem, specifically
referencing bug # 4707114. Perhaps they can get it fixed in the next
OS update.
