I was very excited to find Spanning Sync. I was equally disappointed
when I installed it and it kept crashing when I attempted to sync my
iCal calendars with Google Calendar. When I checked the blog, I
discovered this:

"What you can't do is sync the same calendar to iCloud as you sync to
Google. The important thing to understand is that Spanning Sync can
only fully sync iCal calendars that are "On My Mac", aka local
calendars. To make a new local calendar, you can always do File > New
Calendar > On My Mac from iCal. "

As an iCloud user, I don't want to move my calendars to my Mac only.
This will enable Spanning Sync, but it defeats the advantage of having
iCloud sync my calendar with my iPhone and iPad. I understand that's
a prohibition of Apple, but I wished I'd know of that limitation
before purchasing.

I'll keep my purchase in hopes that at some point in the future, I can
sync my iCloud calendar with Google. If you do not feel that will
ever be possible (please let us all know), I personally may just have
to move to either Google Calendar or iCloud exclusively -- which
causes me serious work difficulties.

Alternatively, if you know of a way whereby I could still have that
syncing funcationality (without using iCloud NOR Google Sync -- which
doesn't work that well with iOS devices) I'd love to know.

Love the concept of your application and the simplicity of your
interface. Other than this limiation, it's a great app.

Best regards,
OregonMac
