Hello all I've noticed that when I convert a MASCOT .dat file to a pep.xml file using TPP, sometimes the names of spectra in the .dat file are changed by MASCOT2XML.exe into a time-date stamp format. This makes it difficult to trace results back to the original file.
e.g in the .dat file the spectrum name: title=%2236%2d00%2d08%2d48%2d1173%2d0001%22 (i.e. 36-00-08-48-1173-0001) becomes in the pep.xml file: spectrum="Tue_Jun_15_09-09-56_2010.spectrum65.0000.0000.1" It only affects certain spectra. Does anyone know why it does this? Thanks, Matthew -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "spctools-discuss" group.
