The versions of perl you mention which the installer checks for were ones
available at the time of the last release, and we didn't want to use
versions which we didn't test against.  The quickest fix for you would be to
just use perl 5.10, if that's possible.  Otherwise, the installer logic for
the next (upcoming) TPP release can be changed, expected this summer.
