It looks like the background to snippets is to be able to identify chunks of code within a file. My more immediate wish is to be able to indicate where specifically in a file the license and copyright texts can be found. If I used snippets for that purpose, is that still within the spirit of the proposal? If so, my follow on question would be, how could I indicate the byte range of a license text separately from the byte range for a copyright notice (since they may not be adjacent to each other)? I guess I could use two snippets, one for each of license text and copyright text with appropriate ranges, but this is not so clean because both SnippetLicenseConcluded and SnipetCopyrightText are mandatory, and I might have to alternately mark these as NONE when describing the byte range for the other. Thoughts on my use case?
