To confirm, you’re asking to fork the project to SPDX? I’ve no objection to that as such; sounds like they’ve turned their back on it, after all, and that we have a use for it.
As long as a part of the forking process is notifying them (in advance) that SPDX is going to take over maintenance and where to find the new project, along with asking them to post a notice to that effect on their end (which they may or may not do), then I’m a +1. --V From: <[email protected]> on behalf of "Gary O'Neall via lists.spdx.org" <[email protected]> Organization: Source Auditor Inc. Open the hyperlink(s) & attachment(s) with caution. . Per our previous discussion in the SPDX tech team, I would like to see if anyone has an objection to moving a utility to the SPDX repo that generates the FSF isLibre flag for the license list: fsf-api<https://apc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fspdx%2Ffsf-api&data=04%7C01%7Cvm.brasseur%40wipro.com%7Cf795ec25a36d4b6ef15c08d972f1c334%7C258ac4e4146a411e9dc879a9e12fd6da%7C1%7C0%7C637667204972741762%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=07lvcFpKbMSAfeA0CIiY0O477l9Yhp5av4Gf11T1cds%3D&reserved=0>. The utility generates FSF specific metadata. The utility was written more than a couple years ago by @wking and is no longer maintained. We’ve tried unsuccessfully to get FSF to pick up ownership of the utility (or something similar). I have a 2 year old issue against the LicenseListPublisher that depends on a fix I submitted as a PR about the same time. Since it has not been merged and I really would like the license list to have accurate data, I moved the repo over and merged the PR to resolve the issue. Please let me know if you have any concerns. If I don’t hear anything back by Monday, I’ll complete the transfer of the repo over to SPDX.
