I just submitted a draft for software as a service:
https://github.com/spdx/spdx-website/issues/19

I’ll be traveling starting on Tuesday, so please feel free to edit, modify – I
don’t need to review any of the changes (since I’ll probably be offline until
it is published).

Subject: [spdx-tech] SPDX 31 Release Candidate 1 and updating (or creating)
public information about our profiles and lists

Hello everyone,

As discussed in yesterday's SPDX General meeting
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O3y70H5iT5eKfv4NQpaItw5zUNetiSsPrqxlV-fQxkw/edit?tab=t.ubmpypfyfpam>
  we are about to tag a SPDX 3.1 RC1 candidate, possibly early next week.

While this is great news we need each Profile Team to make sure that the public
information about their great new capabilities in SPDX 3.1 are captured in
their public pages. Specifically we need each Profile Team to review (or
create) a page that reflects the functionality and utility of their Profile so
that we and the public can start to understand what SPDX 3.1 will be and be
useful for.

So please look at your pages on the
<https://spdx.dev/learn/areas-of-interest/> "Areas of Interest" page and listed
below and offer revisions through the issues link below:

*       Core https://spdx.dev/learn/areas-of-interest/core/

*       Software https://spdx.dev/learn/areas-of-interest/software/

*       Security https://spdx.dev/learn/areas-of-interest/security/

*       Licensing https://spdx.dev/learn/areas-of-interest/licensing/

*       Lite https://spdx.dev/learn/areas-of-interest/lite/

*       Hardware https://spdx.dev/learn/areas-of-interest/hardware/

*       License List https://spdx.org/licenses/

*       AI https://spdx.dev/learn/areas-of-interest/ai/

*       Datasets https://spdx.dev/learn/areas-of-interest/data/
<https://spdx.dev/learn/areas-of-interest/data/>

*

*       Build https://spdx.dev/learn/areas-of-interest/build/

We still need pages for:

*       Operations

*       Functional Safety

*       Supply Chain

*       Software as a Service

*       Cryptography list

*       Threats and Controls

Everyone who’s made updates to their profiles for SPDX 3.1 RC1 or RC2 - make
sure you get that described and added to their web page.

New Profiles and new lists need to create pages.

Updates or initial Profile descriptions for the web site can be submitted here:
https://github.com/spdx/spdx-website/issues

Regards,

Bob (for the Outreach Team)
