Hi all,

was the meeting cancelled? We are idling in a lobby waiting to be admitted.

Viele Grüße,

Henk

Hi all,

A short update on the serialization group:

There will be no dedicated mailing list for the group.
Instead, discussions will happen using the Discussions infrastructure in a newly created GitHub repo: https://github.com/spdx/serialization/discussions <https://github.com/spdx/serialization/discussions> I've created some initial categories (like General or QnA, as well as a couple for specific serialization formats), and we can always improve the setup.

The group felt that it would be OK to do most of the work and communication asynchronously, so expect most of the activity to happen on that infrastructure. Nevertheless, there will short calls (30min, which might end sooner) every other Thursday, same time as the Tech call, at https://meet.jit.si/SPDXSerializationMeeting <https://meet.jit.si/SPDXSerializationMeeting>  for those who would like (and are able) to attend them.

There is also a new repo https://github.com/spdx/serialization-playground <https://github.com/spdx/serialization-playground> (a fork of Joshua's shacl2code) to demonstrate and test changes, extensions, etc. of the code for supporting various serialization formats. Expect that different branches will be developed in parallel on this repo.

[and yes, the calendar entry will be updated to reflect all this]

*Subject:* SPDX Serialization group meetings

Hi everyone!

We will be resuming the regular meetings of the SPDX *Serialization group*.

The focus of these meetings will be to discuss serialization formats for SPDX documents and related data, including existing and emerging approaches. SPDXv3 data can be serialized in any of the multiple RDF serialization formats, but there is interest of having different serializations (for example, CBOR has already been discussed).

[obsolete info deleted]

We look forward to your participation.
