Has anyone encountered a situation where a call to the webtop drives the CPU
to 100% and locks up the server? This occured on a development server with
CF 4.5/Spectra 1.0/SQL 7 on NT 4.0 and required a complete reinstall of the
OS, etc. After a week or so, it started happening again. After 4 spectra
reinstalls including the upgrade to 1.01 and a CF 4.5 reinstall, it now
happens after two or three requests of the webtop. I'm at a loss. Here are
some other details in case they might trigger something in someone's memory.

Server 550 MHz, 1GB RAM, NT 4.0, SQL 7.0 on the same box.
There is only one registered Spectra app on the box besides the sample apps
that ship with Spectra. Doesn't have the 4.51 update.

There are now NT 232 errors in the server log as well as NTWorkerThread
errors. Also, the application log includes approx. 50-100 custom tag
occlusion messages on CF startup and on webtop request--but I think that's
pretty normal.

I've also posted a message to the forums, but who knows if that's even
functional. I'm aware that this could be a server problem, but it is
happening on more than one server.

any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this has already been
addressed here, I can't get to my saved versions of the digest messages.

Thanks,

Beth
