Hi,
We're currently using SourceSafe for a large Spectra project and whilst it
does integrate with Studio (we are on 4.51) it is very buggy and most of us
are using SourceSafe administrator to check the files in and out.
We are also tending not to use the Project tab within Studio and using the
Files tab instead.

If your talking about the program files, then the answer is yes. I'm using
Source Safe with my current client. If I wanted to, I could integrate it
with ColdFusion Studio as a project and I'd have the ability to check in/out
files via Studio.
If your talking about content, that's something different. Spectra by itself
doesn't have a native way to store old versions of objects, but it's easy to
roll your own. I've written an article at Allaire.com that details a way to
handle this. Essentially, every time you edit an object, you can simply take
the old data and store it in a 'History' property.
