We are having problems trying to access Webtop under a Solaris based
installation of Spectra. For no apparent reason we sometimes are not allowed
to access Webtop. After entering our Username and Password we end up with a
timeout. Even if we increase the timeout it is still impossible to access
Webtop. The only way to get in is to stop & restart the Cold Fusion server.
After restarting the server we can go in webtop and use it without any
problems at all. This behaviour is inconsistent and we can't pinpoint why
sometimes it is working and sometimes it is not.
We are quite sure that this problem is related to the 3rd party software
used by Allaire to control access to Webtop (Site Minder). We are aware of
some problem with Site Minder under Solaris but we cannot find anyway to
make it more robust.
