Doing both searches should not be slow. Your result set would simply be the
combination of both resultsets minus the duplicates. contentobjectFind can
actually do both a Type Search and a MD Search together, but it only does
keyword searching, not category searching.

Not sure what you mean. Of course you can find keyword matches, ie, find me
the objects that have the keyword foo assigned, or category blah assigned.
