Tom,
Based on what we know now, I think you're right. The COAPI is the key part
of the Spectra and is what gives us the ability to build web sites using an
object-based model. Yeah, there's services that were built around it but the
core of Spectra sites is the COAPI in my opinion.
We've looking forward to getting more details about what the COAPI move into
the app server means exactly, but it seems to me there is great potential
there. Two of the most appealing possibilities are that it will be less
expensive and that it will have increased performance.

Subject: Re: Content Managment - The Options?
Unfortunately, I don't have any insight. But I do have another question to
piggyback to this thread. Outside of Charles Teague's post on "The Future
of Spectra" (and its related posts), has there been ANY other official word?
The plan as its stated, is to roll the COAPI into the ColdFusion application
server. I'm not sure what that means. But if you're talking the COAPI
being preserved, I think, "Gee, isn't that damned near everything?"
If that's the case, isn't CF 6.0 going to be that content management tool?

Ok, with the upcoming departure with Spectra as we know it, what in your
opinions are the best of the rest? What tools can give us the same or more
content management solutions that Spectra offers.
Hope someone can give me some insight.!
