Another success story (almost). Tonight the client launched the site we
built for them. We still have to finish the back end stuff for them - lots
of PLPs and Workflow templates, but at least the site is up and running.
Check out http://www.mibank.com/ They still have a nasty redirect page up,
but I expect that to come down as soon as they get all of their old sites
pointing at the right place. I had nothing to do with the design, or the
nasty rollovers on the homepage :)
Amazingly this was built with Spectra 1.5.1 on CF 4.5.1 on a Solaris box
running Apache. So it really is possible to run it successfully on Solaris.
There are still a few bugs and issues, but nothing critical. Special thanks
to the Allaire/Macromedia support people who answered dumb questions and
solved mysteries.
Sadly this was the last project for the development company I've been
working for on and off since '96. Just when they finally make a good
decision and use an off-the-shelf product instead of trying to build
everything from scratch, they have to close the doors. Oh well - time to
move on. Anyone need an unemployed CF/Spectra developer in Toronto? :)
