I've installed the hotfix last week wednesday and we haven't had the problem
since. This week we will start training our users (approx. 500) which will
be a good test.

This most likely has do with a issue in the Monitoring Service (or another
service, I forget which, that uses Java underneath). There's a hotfix for
CF 5 that might solve your problem: go to
http://www.allaire.com/Handlers/index.cfm?ID=20371&Method=Full
If that doesn't work, I know that several people found that simply
uninstalling (completely!) and reinstalling CF 5 resolved this -- I have no
idea why...

Hello Spectra warriors,
According to the Spectra Forums my problem is not a new one but I still want
to post it with the hope to get some kind of answer.
I'm are running the following system:
CF 5.0 Enterprise Server
Spectra 1.5.1
MS SqlServer 2000
Both the CF and database server are Win2000.
About every two hours the CF server uses 100% CPU and from than on it is
impossible to log into the application. The site is still available though.
After restarting the CF service everything works fine until.....
I do not know what triggers this but I suspect it has something to do with
SiteMinder and logging onto the application.
The site has to go live on Monday so you can imagine the pressure to get
this fixed before the weekend.
