Unfortunately, it's a do or die type thing. The only alternative is a
point release. Ie, we take all the mods and create an installer for it.
Call it 1.5.2. Then the site assumes you have that. That is NOT a
horrible idea, but making a new installer is not simple. I could just
throw a zip up and say, This is 1.5.2, do this first, but that doesn't
feel right. In general, you guys (and gals) here are smart enough to
figure stuff out, but we also need to make it easy for our
not-so-technical Spectra customers.
