Interestingly enough, the problem is an NT problem, kind of!

SiteMinder on Solaris uses the Bristol WindU registry emulator - bringing
the best of NT technology to Solaris.

If you have a backup of the registry hive file used by WindU (and there may
be one in the same directory), I'd try backing up the new, non-working
registry file, then copying the old one over it.
