Marc,

>From what we heard at the DevCon, Spectra is supposed to be able to run
on CF6 with the exception that Siteminder is reportedly not shipping
with CF6. What we heard is that Spectra will run, however, on Neo if you
use the Custom Security we released some months ago.

We haven't tested this yet, but because Custom Security runs without
having to install SiteMinder, it makes sense to me that it should work.

Subject: CF6 and advanced security

Hi all,

As CF6 will be based on Java, I expect any kind of advanced security to
be
based on J2EE services as opposed to Siteminder. I am just wondering if
any
work is planned on the Spectra source to adjust the tags that are
working
with that service so that, when the time comes, Spectra (as it is now)
will
be useable on CF6. I know that it's too early to test Spectra with CF6.
I'm
just wondering if this kind of work will be picked up by the usual
suspects
(Raymond & Co).

Kind regards,

Marc Schipperheyn
