Yes, Macromedia is still supporting Spectra and we have promised to do so until December 2003. We are not doing new-feature development on Spectra. The Spectra 1.5.2 update release will help existing Spectra customers run on top of ColdFusion MX, our newest ColdFusion server version. It will not contain new features, but compatibility fixes to enable Spectra to sit on CFMX without the Advanced Security feature in CF5. We'll also bundle up all the SpectraSource fixes to date.
Release date TBD, expected at the end of the year. -Margaret Margaret M. Hi-- I joined this list primarily because I wanted to find out if Spectra is still alive and kicking. I have gotten the impression that Spectra was not going to be continued to be supported by Macromedia. I have a client who wants to purchase Spectra, but want to dissuade him if Macromedia is going to discontinue support for the product. Does anyone know if there is an "official" pronouncement from Macromedia regarding Spectra's future? I read this morning on this list that they are coming out with an MX version. Thanks in advance, Joel Richards ______________________________________________________________________ Get the mailserver that powers this list at http://www.coolfusion.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To Unsubscribe visit http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists&body=lists/spectra_talk or send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with 'unsubscribe' in the body.
