No, you are performing the upgrade in the correct manner i.e. Install
Spectra and then upgrade to an Enterprise Level database such as SQL Server
or Oracle. You will obviously have to reapply the CFIDE connection to point
to the SQL Server DB and not the AS connection, but once that is done you
should be fine!

Subject: Versioning Database

Hey everyone,

So, with the help of some list members and some crash courses, I
have a workflow done. It works on one system, but not on another.

My question is: Does it matter how the versioning database is
created/installed. The method that has worked has been to use the
sybase database that comes with Spectra and to upgrade it to SQL
server. Is this the only way to have versioning work with an SQL server
database? Does the versioning database have to be initialized in any
special way?

   - Jevon
