No, you are performing the upgrade in the correct manner i.e. Install Spectra and then upgrade to an Enterprise Level database such as SQL Server or Oracle. You will obviously have to reapply the CFIDE connection to point to the SQL Server DB and not the AS connection, but once that is done you should be fine!
