I agree with you, It happenns all the time and caching does'nt help. What I've noticed happenning is that the user cannnot login because SiteMinde is not responding but when I look at the SiteMinder services, tehy are started. The problem is gone after re-starting the services. Can you post some code that gives the true SiteMinder service status (started/stopped). Because at the moment I'm using the cfauthenticate tag and test if I can connect to LDAP and return the status.
