I've a question :
We ve installed and tested Spectra on a SQLSERVER. Everything worked very wel and our hierarchy decided to extand spectra to the rest on our company.
Problem is that the standard for our company for big application is Oracle.
Dba People gave us a tablespace.
I thought i could do everything i want on this tablespace but NO!!
The tablespace is only a schema and i can't create a database in this schema. I only can create tables.
DBA people tell me they had to give me a schema for each database Spectra needs -> Go to all the administration problems : Fill the form for asking a DB ,wait for approve from doamin architect, ask programmer to write a script, ask for script approval , ask operator to run the script etc.etc .etc and this for each application we create.
In fact we choose spectra to have a simple developpement environment and to get rid of all those DB and administration problems.
Has anybody already installed spectra on Oracle ?
How did you do it ?
