You certainly are lucky. But really, when CFC's came out did you run right out and rewrite most or all of your old code (which was working fine)? Or did you wait until you were in a revision cycle? When you're doing things for yourself (like I do in my side business) it is easy to be an early adopter. But in a large organization like my regular job is you don't have that luxury. We have to plan budgets for development a year in advance and justify everything. It took us almost 2 years to upgrade from CF 5 to CFMX. We have reduced that time and the upgrade from CFMX 6.1 to 7 has only been around 6 months or so.
