Hi all Has anyone seen the same behaviour as described below?
In Spectrum 9 H03, sometimes the model name seems not to evaluate properly. I have set model naming order to 1) Name Service, 2) SysName, 3) IP Address; the option "Use Fully Qualified Host Name" is set to "No". Now when I evaluate the model name, Spectrum treats the IP address like a dns name, cutting away everything after the first ".". Take following example: IP address is 192.168.1.1, sysName on device is set to "myRouter", no DNS entry present for this IP address (for reverse lookup). What happens is: the model name evaluates to "192", instead of "myRouter" as I would expect. It makes no difference, if the device is a switch or router or server. Spectrum 8.1 did not show this behavio����� Am I missing something?
