Question:
1. What factor that makes the STOP and START time different so much?
Had this problem once but that was because the Archive manager had
crashed/stopped and we didnt notice except for the OC interface going
yellow so we had to switch over to the
HA Server for archiving temporarily as per the procedure and then
restarted we currently have 85,000 models
in our SPECSERVER and it takes around 35 minutes to do a reboot to the
SPECSERVER
2. Anyone know the actual sequence in SPECTRUM to process STOP the SS?
The process is to stop the archive manager and switch over to a HA server
if you have one and then stop SS which makes it easy
Hope this helps worked for us earlier

[spectrum] 1.5 hrs vs 5 minutes to STOP the SpectroSERVER
Dear List,
Last month, we shutdown SpectroSERVER-SPECTRUM 8.1.0.H14, it took
almost 1.5hrs, either STOP and START process. No new model created
since.
A few days ago, STOP the SpectroSERVER took less than 5 minutes or so.
So does the START.
No error reported either in the 1.5 hrs or 5 minutes case.
We have almost 200,000. models. SS and OC in separate machine.
Question:
1. What factor that makes the STOP and START time different so much?
2. Anyone know the actual sequence in SPECTRUM to process STOP the SS?
