Hello Edgar, list, thank you for the answers. But I have still some questions. Is NCM the same as SCM? Or is it a part of SCM. My first goal is to collect the config files from the devices, in case a device fails, that I am able to configure the new device as fast as possible.

I mean are they in a file with the device name, or is the config saved in the database? as far as i know, the config files are stored in the database (SSDb) - How is the saving triggered on the network devices (by snmp, telnet or ssh)? Is triggered by SNMP commands sent from Spectrum to the Network Device, and transferred to Spectrum via TFTP To read more info about this module, the NCM manual is a good point of start. At the beginning (spectrum 7.1), when I was dealing with this module, many of the answers I found it, in the manual, and opening tickets with CA support. Hope it helps. Eng.
