Ok, thanks to Lesley for hint about .vnmshrc. I was randomly checked
vsh_tcp_port=7777 in my spectrum box, and this port is already busy by
non-spectrum application. After killing it and restarting VnmShd, all
works as it needs to be.

p.s. to CA developers: VNMSHD.OUT has not any information something like
"could not connect to 7777. this socket is already used..."
