Thierry,

I have noticed this behaviour in times of Online Backups. We have
scheduled our backups daily at 11.15pm, and right about this time, my SS
reports Traps from unknown devices though they are modelled in the SSdb.
Might be while the SS is in pause during database copy.

What's the experts' opinion on this guess?

Freundliche Grüße / Best regards

Christian Fieres

[spectrum] Spectrum does sometimes not map a trap to the model

I have associated an alarm with the event 0x00010802 ("Trap x.x received
from unknow SNMP device with IP address ...")
The problem is that sometimes I see this alarm for an IP address which
correspond to a model which is existing since a long time.

Is there any reason that Spectrum sometimes "misses" the matching between
the IP of the incoming trap and the corresponding model?
A performance problem?
Other traps from the same device are assigned correctly to the
corresponding device.
This occurs with different devices.
Any ideas?
