Hi Jay, list, if the trapping device is already modeled you get 0x10801 (unknown alert received) on this. If it's not modeled yet (and is not suggested to or cannot get automatically modeled) then event 0x10802 (trap XYZ received for unknown SNMP device) will occur on VNM model.
Trap type is the OID of the trap. You can find a description of the trap in the appropriate MIB file - if you know which one to use. If not most OIDs can easyly be found with a quick Google search - at least for me ;-) Next you'll have to build your AlertMap/EventDisp/EvFormat/PCause files - these should be described in "Event configuration user guide" (9.x, #5188) or "Event configuration files guide" (7.x/8.x, #5070). After files are finished you have to reload event configuration for SS and OC servers - procedure is described in mentioned docs.
