Hi All, I don't think that will do it.
Here is what I did in similar cases: 1. Do a locator search by ncmfamily (or all devices and filter by the family name) 2. Go back to the explorer and select all devices in the family 3. "cut" the device from the family (do not delete!) 4. Go back to the search and select again all devices. 5. Now you can right click and "reevaluate NCM family" under reconfiguration. If the devices where added by a search criteria 2 and 3 won't work - instead you would need change the criteria. Second thought - deleting the family will work probably as well. Regarding the first problem - as far as I know, this is currently "functioning as designed". You will need to create script doing the snmp and tftpstuff (not so easy if I understood this correctly) or get the config in a different way (.i.e. ssh and issue an command). After going through the devices that met my criteria I right clicked on the models and selected "Add to Device Family", great. Then I noticed that my new family does not have SNMP/FTP under "Default Communication Mode" as an option. Also I cannot figure out how to put the devices back to the Cisco IOS Family? Is this a bug?
